What Costa Rica Hub is
Costa Rica Hub is an independent bilingual editorial project explaining Costa Rica in context. We publish travel guides, destination information, culture, procedures, everyday economics and free tools for residents and visitors.
We are not a public institution, travel agency or professional practice. Our role is to turn scattered information into clear decision paths without replacing confirmation from the relevant authority, operator or qualified professional.
Who we publish for
We write for people who need to make a decision, not merely read a description: when to visit, which access to use, what document to prepare, which cost is missing from a budget or which official source to check before acting.
The Spanish and English editions address the same editorial need. Translations are adapted so that instructions, institutional names, currencies and warnings keep their meaning; they are not presented as separate research.
What each guide should add
We aim to contribute comparisons, Costa Rican context, limitations, common mistakes, checklists and verifiable links. Destination pages distinguish sectors, access, difficulty, weather and risk; procedure guides organise requirements and verification points; financial explainers state assumptions and avoid rankings that quickly become stale.
Calculators explain how results are produced, state their limits and process inputs in the browser. An estimate is never presented as an official settlement, quotation or decision.
Who publishes Costa Rica Hub
Brandon Barquero is the founder and editor of Costa Rica Hub. He is responsible for researching, writing, organising and updating the content published by the project.
Costa Rica Hub is an individual project, not a multi-person newsroom. Brandon does not claim professional credentials or first-hand experience he cannot demonstrate. Any external specialist review must be expressly identified.
Independence and funding
The institutions, companies and destinations mentioned do not produce our editorial content. A source link does not imply affiliation or sponsorship.
The site may be funded through Google AdSense advertising. Ads do not determine topics, conclusions or positions within a guide. Any future paid collaboration must be clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial judgement.

If you find outdated information or a factual error, email the URL, the relevant passage and a source that lets us verify it. We prioritise issues that may affect safety, money, requirements or access.
