Uvita lies on Route 34. Each sector has distinct access and conditions; parking is usually external.

How to understand this park
Marino Ballena is primarily a marine park protecting coastal water, reefs, islets, beaches and mangroves. The celebrated Whale Tail is a tidal tombolo, not a permanently available trail.
Humpbacks arrive from northern and southern hemisphere populations at different times. Seasonal presence never guarantees a sighting, and responsible operators maintain distance and avoid pursuit.

Questions before booking
Is the Whale Tail always visible?
No. The tide covers access. SINAC recommends a broad low-tide window and returning before water advances.
When are whales present?
As a general reference, northern populations appear December–April and southern ones July–November. Confirm locally.
Are all sectors open?
Not necessarily. The official page consulted enabled Uvita and Colonia while reporting other closures; check on the day.
